I got a phone call from Waterstones on Thursday. ‘Mrs Jeffcoat, this is Waterstones’, the chap said.
Oh good, I thought. Are we friends now? That’s cool.
‘I just wanted to let you know that Hilary Mantel’s Bring Up The Bodies was released today’, said the chap.
You guys, I didn’t realise I loved Hilary Mantel so much that Waterstones knew. You should’ve told me.
(They were actually calling about my pre-order.)
Needless to say, I’ll be back out once I’ve finished it, and will let you know what I thought.
